Practitioner profile: Thomas

Thomas  [ acupuncture & Chinese medicine ]
BSc (Hons) Chinese Medicine Acupuncture, MBAcC

Thomas is a qualified Acupuncturist, passionate about helping others finding their personal balance in health and daily life.

He has been interested in health and health maintenance on a holistic level, and has been practicing martial arts and yoga for over 10 years. Through working as a carer for the elderly and disabled, his passion for supporting others in achieving and more importantly maintaining good health and personal balance was fuelled.

This motivated him to move to London after a career in advertising and design, where he successfully gained his BSc (Hons) Traditional Chinese Medicine: Acupuncture at the University of Westminter, a course endorsed by the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) and the British Acupuncture Accreditation Board.

His experience as an acupuncturist was gained through hundreds hours of supervised practice in the University of Westminster Polyclinic, working with a plethora of different disorders and diseases, as well as through the NHS Gateway clinic (NHS Acupuncture pain clinic in SW London), and his private practices in Bloomsbury, Finsbury Park, and Central London.

Thomas also volunteers and supports the Hoxton Health Group at the NHS St. Leonard's Hospital in East London, which provides Acupuncture to the Hackney community.

The greatest enjoyment he gets out of his work is being able to facilitate balance and health in such a way that patients are able to return to the things they enjoy doing, without being enslaved by their conditions.

Thomas speaks fluent English and German and is highly interested in Chinese first aid & emegerncy medicine. He is multi talented, enjoys climbing, mountain biking, skateboarding and loves the wild ocean, nature and elements in action.
